Here is a winter LO combining my love of scrap booking with my love of cross stitch. All the other elements on this page were made for me. Now I just need to takes some pictures this winter of my wonderful kids playing in the snow and add some journaling and it will b finished. The cross stitch set is from Mill Hill beads and was a kit for a seasonal fence that you change every month. I preferred making the kit and then using them on my LOs. I enjoy using different products and trying my hand at being a little unconventional with what I use. The second picture is a close of view of the cross stitch snowmen. It took about 4 days for this complete kit. The tree with the bird house was the most difficult as it is two separate pieces that are then stitched together to look like one. Same with the snowman holding the sled. If I were to have that piece in my hands it is one piece but again to was made as two completely separate pieces then stitched together and the bunny button then stitched on top.
This is the first thing I ever altered. It is a photo box that I painted cream then sponged the edges in a light silver/purple mix. All the bling and flowers are from Prima. I sent this to a good friend that I met on sb.com, I am very proud of this and it just goes to show that when we put our minds to trying something out of our comfort zone we do some incredible things.
Altered book box
I saw something similar to this in a friend's gallery, she used a wooden book. Found the book box at Michael's, painted it then added silver CS for the corners, Prima flowers, Prima Say it with pearls corner, added Grape stickles to the flowers to add more sparkle. Painted the lines on the spine and added rub-ons and rhinestones by Basic Grey. It is the perfect size to store my Cuttle Bug folders in. Everything use is in different shades of purple or silver. This is one of my favourite things that I altered.

Scrap, Love, Laugh
The patterned CS is from DCWV At HOME Stack, dark purple textured CS and a jacquard printed paper. The letters are Thickers Lullaby and the rhinestones (blue) are from Val's grab bag swap on sb.com.
I did this LO for a challenge. This is my first ever challenge. It reads "I love to create and tell a story by scrapping pictures. The best Laughs come from pictures and remembering the story or day that it occur ed on." The larger journaling reads "I might of started out with scrapping but now I also love to make cards, alter items and create other projects. When I am felling over whelmed or blue I can sit at my desk and play with my scrappy supplies and end up laughing about whatever it was that stresses me out."
Buttons
This box is covered in DCWV CS in purple from The Glitter Stack. Placed on top is a cross stitch pattern for buttons. Again it is a mixture of Cross stitch and beads which adds wonderful colour and depth. It it stitched on perforated paper and the edges are whip stitched with green ribbon. This took 1 1/2 day to complete.
Address box
This beautiful box was created using a template by Scor-pal. I use it to store cards that have ppls addresses and birthdays on so that I can send out homemade cards to them. I have made dividers for each month to make it easier when making and sending out cards. The CS used is again from DCWV, The At Home Stack from Michael's. I am in the process of getting all the things in my scrap room in my favourite colours, purple and silver. If I can not find things in these colours then I either make them or alter what I can. I loved the pattern of this CS and used it on a little garbage can that I have on my table for recycled CS and paper, I will post a pic of that later. The Diva is a Cross stitch kit by Mill Hill Beads and was suppose to be a pin. It is cross stitched on perforated paper and has beads to add dimension. Also added some rhinestone swirls, silver ribbon and some purple flowers with rhinestone centres. This took 2 days to complete, one for the cross stitch and one for the box.
Friends
I love Cross stitch and as stated I would use this Blog to show case all crafts that I do. Here is a simple cross stitch of Pooh and Piglet. I mounted it on iridescent purple CS and then sent to one of the hostesses of a swap I was involved with. Sorry the photo is side ways this was taken a couple of years ago when I was just learning how to use my camera and software LOL. This took 1 day to complete.
Mask
I made this mask for a swap that I was in on sb.com. The CS is from Midnightspell stack by DCWV. The mask is bordered in Gold Stickles, white lace covers the bottom half of the face while eyelash yard makes an interesting border on the top half. Prima flowers in the left hand corner with rhinestone flowers used for centers. Two rhinestone flowers are layered in the right hand corner. The first layer is a clear flower with a gold flower for the center. Other rhinestones in gold are placed along the bottom swirls and large gold half balls too. The ribbon is gold with little bells sewn onto the bottom. The stick is a wooden dowel covered with black ribbon then glued onto the back of the mask.
Journaling bat
This is a bat for hidden journal. I took two pieces of CS from The Midnightspell Stack by DCWV and glue them together to create my own double sided paper to make the wings. The body is made out of black CS with a piece of white CS stuck in the middle for the area to write on.Then I bordered the outside of the wings in silver stickles and the body in Black Diamond Stickles. Last I added rhinestones for eyes. In most of my projects I use rhinestones and Stickles and almost all my CS is from DCWV.

Hello
Ok so this is a place were I can post my scrapping crafts and such. I have this site just for that. With requests that I am getting on seeing what I make and needing to link it to other sites I figured I needed to start a blog dedicated to my crafts. As most know who have chatted with me on different crafting sites I am a huge DCWV fan. Most of what I make uses their wonderful stacks. I will be sure to list what stacks I am using as well as any other products. I will also post pics of my cross stitch work I do. I love to make things with my hands and cross stitch is one of my favourite past times. I have been cross stitching since I was 8 years old and have past my love of the craft on to my oldest daughter. Once my other 2 girls are old enough I will teach them too. I look forward to one day teaching grandchildren as well. Well that is just the start of this blog. Most of my post will consist of pics of crafts and how long it took to make them, the products used etc. In January I will start to take orders from people who would like some of the cross stitch I do. Just remember the prices will reflect materials and time that goes into each loving creation.
